Artistic entrance to a questionable property

If you like the Southwestern vibe, as I do, wouldn’t you love to have a home with an entrance like this? This adobe wall with the painted longhorn skull over a weathered turquoise door makes for a very cool front entrance to a property on West Rodeo Road in Santa Fe.

Of course all I had to do is walk 20 yards to the left of this front gate to get a look at the adobe home, and it’s looking pretty rough, with boarded up windows on the back section, and an unruly tree taking over what is the front yard (behind the entrance, but before the house … I know it looks like it’s growing up right out of the house, but it’s actually the front yard).

But hey – I’m not against a project – this could be a hidden gem, maybe the interior just needs a little TLC? But then again, this house is on West Rodeo Road, so there’s always a stream of traffic going by, so it’s not exactly a peaceful place.

There was both a realtor’s name and company name on a sign out front, but a search for both does not show any results that match this location.

But come on, doesn’t the mystery of this grab your curiosity? If I could extract this front entrance and take it elsewhere, I’d be up for that.
