I’ve never been much of a college football fan, but with all the recent hype about Coach Prime (Deion Sanders) and the Colorado Buffaloes football program, combined with the fact that my son graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2022, it’s caught my attention. Between the 3-0 start for the Buffs, along with constant coverage on the ESPN Instagram account, along with Coach Prime appearing on 60 Minutes last week, I figured I’d sit down and tune in for today’s game against the Oregon Ducks.
What prompted my decision to start playing around with an AI art app during the first half was seeing this banner showing a buffalo wearing sunglasses and a gold chain necklace, an obvious visual reference to Deion Sanders … how great is this? So I thought it would be fun to insert some “buffalo with sunglasses and bling” prompts into an AI art generator to see what I could come up with.
So here’s a few takes on my own AI-generated Prime Buffalo:
I was having fun with this, but as the first half went on, the Oregon Ducks are giving the Buffs a beat-down, and it’s 35-0 at halftime, so then I thought maybe I should try some AI art prompts with “ducks beating up a buffalo.” Here’s a few results from that:
As is typical with AI-generated art, sometimes you get some weird results. Below are two, including a buffalo with a duck face quacking at a regular buffalo while little ducks watch on, and a Duck mascot charging a resting buffalo whose ears kind of look like duck bills. At any rate, this was fun to see what I could come up with using AI art.
