A return to Ithaca, soon

I have a long weekend trip to Ithaca planned in the near future, and while I went there about 9 years ago, I am ready to go visit again, with a fresh look at the Finger Lakes area. I’m trying to do a little trip planning, as far as sights to see and towns to visit, and unfortunately, the pictures I took on my 2016 trip did not have location tags turned on, so I don’t recall where everything that I might want to see again is located.

I do know, however, that this mosaic street art mural (seen above) is in the downtown Ithaca area, probably near the pedestrian zone/shopping area on State Street. And as I’m looking through the old pictures, I see quite a bit of street art, another one is shown below … but in addition to seeing art, I’m hoping to go to Watkins Glen State Park, which I didn’t do last time, and hoping to do some kayaking, hiking, and some other outdoor activities.

Here’s a random picture from that 2016 trip to Ithaca that is fun to see again … I must have been walking around a neighborhood somewhere and saw this unique horse sink sitting in someone’s front yard. I love this, because it’s so odd. If I saw something like this now, I’d be tempted to take it home!
