Despite having curated and organized numerous art exhibitions over the years under the “McKinney Arts” banner, they’ve always been indoor gallery situations. This year I decided to participate as a solo artist in the Glen Ridge Arts & Eco Fair, which will take place (weather permitting) this Saturday, May 20th.
Since I’ve never done a street fair before, there has been plenty of planning and preparation involved, including buying a tent and trying to decide how to present my art, when I need to create my own “walls” to hang them on. As you can see in the pictures below, I’m experimenting with pegboard and custom-built wooden legs/structures, which I’ve designed in a somewhat improvised manner. This display setup is still a work-in-progress, so what you see below is just the construction stage in my garage, I plan to expand it and fine-tune it over these next couple of days.

If you’re in the area, please stop by and say hello! More info on the fair hours and location can be found here.
