I was visiting Asbury Park today, just wanting to enjoy the boardwalk and the ocean, despite being too cold to spend any time sitting on the beach. As I was approaching the boardwalk and the Convention Center area, I noticed this pickup truck parked in front of me. The guy was busy unwrapping and unloading this large bronze sculpture … or was he taking it away? It was hard to tell, but I also can’t figure out who the sculpture is supposed to be. Considering it’s a guy with a guitar, and this is Asbury Park, home of The Stone Pony<\/a>, is this supposed to be Bruce Springsteen?<\/p>\n

Here’s another couple of views, much closer up … even though the face doesn’t look like Bruce Springsteen to me, this last view, with the visible headband, might suggest that it’s supposed to be The Boss<\/a>. Does anyone recognize this sculpture, or know anything about it? If so, please share some info in the comments section below. <\/p>\n
