It was the door in particular that grabbed my attention; there was something about the painted repairs that didn&#8217;t come close to fixing the original problem that made me think of Mark Rothko&#8217;s paintings. Why? Let&#8217;s take a closer look before &#8230; that blue rectangular shape that doesn&#8217;t quite match the original color seems to float on top of the white, cloudy color below it, kind of like the way Mark Rothko&#8217;s painted rectangles seem to float on the surface of his canvases.
