Nature Indoors

Nature Indoors, an exhibition of photos by artist Mark McKinney
Virtual installation of “Nature Indoors,” original photography by artist Mark McKinney

The title “Nature Indoors” comes from the fact that this collection of photographs by artist Mark McKinney were taken at the Como Zoo Conservatory in 2007.

Nature Indoors is one of a series of “itinerant exhibitions,” created by McKinney Arts, where the installation view shows a real location, but the art seen installed in any particular location is done as a virtual art exhibition. In this case, the location is an empty home in Newburgh, NY, in clear need of renovations. There’s something about the bright landing next to a darkened stairwell that seemed like a good place to hang some art.
